With the support of REDEX, the Macao International Carbon Exchange (MEX) successfully completed the 1st household solar I-REC(E) transaction in a Portuguese-speaking country – Brazil.
The household solar device was registered and onboarded to the I-REC(E) Registry using REAPI, a suite of APIs developed by REDEX to streamline data integration with our core renewable energy products: REHash, REConnect, and RESuite.
The I-REC(E) certificate was issued by the Green Certificate Company, the central issuer of I-REC(E) recognised by the I-TRACK Foundation.
The project leveraged AntChain’s blockchain and IoT technologies to integrate small-scale, distributed household solar systems. These technologies ensure data authenticity and traceability, as well as real-time data collection and transmission, significantly enhancing the system’s efficiency and reliability.
AntChain is under Ant Group, a leading provider of financial services technology, and the parent company of China’s largest mobile payments business Alipay.
