The Business Times, with the support of OCBC, featured REDEX as a winner of the 2023 Emerging Enterprise Sustainability Award.
Established in 2018 by Founder and CEO Kang Jen Wee, REDEX was a fledgling enterprise aiming to help corporates decarbonise. With deep understanding of the solar energy value chain, Jen Wee and the REDEX team set out to resolve the challenges and pain points experienced by generators, issuers, buyers and sellers in the renewable energy certificate (REC) market.
Developing innovative technological solutions, REDEX has streamlined the REC asset registration, verification, trading and retirement processes, supporting organisations in trading RECs and adopting renewable energy with ease.
By making it convenient to trade RECs, REDEX is helping to improve the internal rate of return of renewable energy projects with RECs, potentially boosting further investment into the renewables industry and accelerating the decarbonisation of the energy sector.
Today, REDEX operates Asia’s leading trading platform for RECs and is well-positioned to expand to the Middle East and Latin America.
